I am going to say no. Remember that poor white southerners who were the ones that were priced out of a job by slavery and racism. This is exactly why the ideological notion of white supremacy had to be promoted.
If the "white trash" could be sold on racism, then their labor would be cheap too. Look into how Elvis's father went to jail for adding a 0 to a check. Here, Karl Marx is useful. The labor of the blacks was worth nothing because they were slaves. Therefore; the labor of the poor whites was worth next to nothing.

No, dumbass, he wasn't even "a Confederate", which is the grammatically correct way say it and capitalize it. Just because someone was born in the south doesn't automatically make them a member of the long-gone Confederacy.
