If the United States were divided by ideology and lifestyle, do you think it would function more efficiently?

Im talking division by whole political and social ideology, not majority this or majority that.  It always seems that we sacrifice what's good for the majority because of the objections of the minority. This is the most ridiculous and inefficient way to run a society.

You mean if we gathered all of our "liberal" friends together and marched them on foot into the Great Basin, then left them alone to sort out their problems by themselves?

You know, I think that just might work. We would, of course, need to ensure that they stayed where they belong. I think Burning Man 24X7X52 would see to that, though.

Uh-oh, I see that the kids STILL have no sense of humor. Sad, so VERY sad.  <sigh>

To do that would be to assume that there are only two types of people.  You would have to have 50 different countries.

It is..... that's the reason the Founders preserved the notion of Statehood....

If you think about it.... the West might never have been settled if our government then encouraged the kind of hive-mentality and dependent mindsets that it does today...
