How do I get rid of Error 79?
Does anyone know how to get rid of Error 79?
I had an HP All-in-One inkjet printer for 20 years and it worked great. So, I didn't hesitate to move up to a "Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw". Unfortunately, it is in an error state, specifically Error 79. It is only a year past its warranty and I was disappointed to learn that HP does not support its out-of-warranty products. Thank you so much!

...
2. Reinstall DIMM
The first thing you need to do is turn off the printer.
Next, remove the DIMM.
Reinstall the DIMM to confirm that it sits properly in the printer.
Turn on the HP printer.

If a printer shows a "79 Service Error" (a common error to HP printers) on the LCD display, do the following:
Locate the on/off switch on the bottom of the printer.
Toggle the switch to the off position and COUNT to 10.
Turn the printer on again and the system should be all set.

Disconnect the printer from the network.
If on wired network: Unplug the Ethernet cable from the back of the printer.
If on wireless network: Power off the router.
Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, and turn on the printer.
If the printer is in ready state, disable the IPv6 feature from the control panel as follows:
Go to Setup, then Network Setup, and then Network Services.
Tap IPv6, and then Off.
Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds.
Turn on with the network connection enabled.
