many people find a pathway to  TRUTH in what a person can DEMONSTRATE  rather than merely what they THINK and have a conviction of or assert    Jack can have the Conviction his wife is having Sex with someone else  but jack can be WRONG  having the thought or belief does not CAUSE the allegation or proposition to be  TRUE

SORROW is a Human emotion a FEELING" of sadness or GRIEF caused by LOSS of someone or some thing

  REPENTANCE is the   process of feeling REGRET for MISDEEDS or moral shortcomings  and the ACTION  to SHOW ( to others ) a CHANGE  for better behavior .. so any human behaviors a person engaged in effected OTHER people in the society  ( reality ) so t o ENGAGE the PERSON in society they have harmed

in certain RELIGIONS ( organized  promotion of supernatural proposition ie spirits gods  "other worlds " places of asserted torment or paradise)   use the word repentance  as an ACTION  of turning away  from SELF serving activities and turning to " God  to walk in his ways .... though it fails to demonstrate the Gods ways and it one reads many  religions text  the god calls for child sacrifice animal sacrifice  kill certain PEOPLE accept for the virgins  or a man picking up stick on a certain day of the week ... authoritarianism ... cause some person in ancient time made a assertion he was speaking for the god  which he could not demonstrate .  submit to  without question

FACT to date NO THEIST or promoter of supernatural PROPOSITION have demonstrated a god or spirit ... making GODLY SORROW  a new word salad

Sorrow is not a godly emotion. When we obey.

Grief is a result of our environment.

The Bible does say we are loyal to God and only God. And we must be prepared to turn on our brother's and sister's, If they don't chose to live in God's way.

Godly sorrow is a cleansing sorrow that leads us to the cross.

It's your sorrow.

2 Corinthians 7:9-11 

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. [11] For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
