Why do people think the Corona-virus isnt bad?

I wish I knew.  I have friends (a married couple) who constantly posted stuff on Facebook last year about their weekend trips, restaurants they went to, hanging out with friends, etc. They thought the virus wasn't serious.  Then they both got sick, almost died.  And now they're going to the beach, going on weekend trips again.  They didn't learn anything.

My cousin's daughter got married in October.  Her mother in law had Covid, and so did a few of her relatives. But they all came to the wedding, and infected more people.

My grandmother turned 95 in December, and everybody showed up for the party.  There's usually about 100 people, and many of them are old.  In their 80s and 90s.  But nobody cares.

My uncle was like, nah, nobody around here wears masks and nobody got sick so far.  Then he and his wife got sick and are now lying in hospital, hoping they make it.

People are idiots

Because covid19 kill mostly the elderly sick people, those under 50 and healthy will NOT die. Old and sick people over 80in long term cares, are keeping alive by medications, most of them have dementia, and other health issues, many wanted to die because its very expensive to keep them alive. Dying is NOT the end of everything, our souls continue living on other form of live in different world ,much happier. So why not let the souls of those sick old people ,leave their decaying bodies,go on to next life, in beautiful kingdom of God???

And you know this because? Oh you've been watching the government's official propaganda channels, BBC and channel 4 as recommended by the government. 

I had to visit a local hospital, empty, nurses sat doing nothing. It's a big con.

Some Covid deniers are the type of people that have 'theories' on everything, they don't trust Governments or anyone with authority.  However, if they did actually watch mainstream News TV footage of Nurses and Doctors working long shifts, dressed head to toe in several protective layers of clothing, perhaps they'd realise that Covid is real and dangerous.

Front Line workers aren't just Nurses or Doctors, some are Receptionists, Cleaners, Porters, working in Hospitals in wards full of Covid patients that don't yet need ventilators, however these staff aren't provided with the 'head to toe' PPE and are still expected to put their lives on the line.  

Conservative Governments have been underpaying the NHS budget for many years and offering contracts building new Privately owned Hospitals, full of NHS patients, paid for by our National Insurance contributions....

We should appreciate all of the people who do jobs that require you to be in contact with other people, ie Teachers and their assistants, administrators, Cleaners, Public Transport drivers, Police Officers who work on the streets or meeting the Public inside Police Stations, Ambulance Drivers, Paramedics, Retail workers that have to deal with arrogant people that refuse to wear face masks......

Because they're young and stupid and believe they are invincible, but the new variant is killing young people too, so they better wise up and stop having illegal raves and house parties. 

Because some people don't listen to expert opinions, they prefer to listen to YouTube grifters who tell them what the want to hear
