    Triangle ABC is isosceles with angle A as the vertex angle.

    CA = 2x + 14, CB = x + 8 and AB = 4x

    CA = AB, x = 7

    The perimeter of ABC: 71

    If the two equal sides of the isosceles triangle are 4x = 2x+14 then x = 7 and so its perimeter is (4*7)+((2*7)+14)+(7+8) = 71 units of measurement

    isosceles means two sides are equal. You list 3 sides, but which are which?  my guess is ca and ab

    2x+14 = 4x

    2x = 14

    x = 7

    ca = 2x+14 = 28

    cb = x+8 = 15

    ab = 4x 28

    perimeter = sum = 71

    AB= 4x  BC= x + 8

    AB= AC

    4x = 2x + 14

    2x= 14

    x = 7

    P= 4x + x + 8 + 2x + 14

    P = 4*7 + 7 + 8 + 2 *7 + 14

    P= 28 + 15 + 14 +14

    P= 71
