No in fact he said that his followers were “no part of the world”. ( John 1714) Jesus pointed people to God’s Kingdom. (Matt. 6:9,10)  it will replace all of Earth’s governments and turn it into a paradise. See jw.org for more information.

No, he didn't.  He advocated working within the system.

    Jesus was apolitical.

The question is much too vague to answer.

    For example:

Did Jesus support independence from God?

Did Jesus support independence from the Romans?

Did Jesus support independence from morality?

Did Jesus support independence from traditions? Which sort?

Did Jesus support independence from Jewish religious leaders?

    etc. etc.

    >> In Jesus’ day, what did many Jews want? <<

    Ditto.

The list would be very long.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Psalm 119:45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

Galatians 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

    2 Peter 2:19

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

1 Corinthians 8:9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

James 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

1 Peter 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

"Except the LORD [aka "Spirit" John 4:24] build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” (Psalm 127:1).

Jesus if he existed at all was just normal human although I doubt very much that he even existed.
