Spiritually speaking, who answers in R&S?

I've been away for a few years so I'm not sure who are regulars are anymore, but

I'm curious to what type of people now answer in R&S, both atheists and theists.

Are there people with education in theology, philosophy, or physics? Lay people? Pastors? Writers? Just curious.

Update:

@Anonymous:

Unfortunately, I don't recall Off His Meds. Perhaps if I go back through old answers of mine I'm sure I would come across his posts. That's really cool you were able to make such a connection like that with him. That was a really nice thing you did! If you have any links to old questions or answers of his, I can explore it and see if I remember having any interactions with him. It's too bad Y!As took away the message feature.

Update 2:

@Anonymous:

I stepped away around 2014. I would occasionally come by to see what was going on but I didn't stick around much. School was calling my attention. Back then I went by the name Krad. Now my user name is a play on my real identity. As for people I remember, I really liked Dr. Bob. I think he left this community a bit before I did. I saw him as a genuine Christian who was willing to share the reason for this faith in a very understandable way. There are others I still recognize, too.

    If you posted under another name please tell me.

    Been here since August 2o12 and miss some of the ones who used to post.

    Off his meds passed away and had the privilege of doing his eulogy: It was him mom that asked me to do it for him and her.   He never posted his real picture and was awarded the privilege of seeing it.  It was one handsome guy.  He always said he was afraid to put his picture on this site.   I miss Uncle Wayne and Uncle Heretic they both emailed me lots and we talked.

    These days, it seems to be pretty even between theists and atheists.  Most of the theists are from Abrahamic religions, but there are a smattering of others.  You can also find a few agnostics, but not too many.

    Sadly, there quite a few atheists on here who simply enjoy making fun of theists, thumbing down their answers, and even flagging them as a "violation" if they really don't like an answer.  And yes, sadly, there are a few nasty theists as well.

    As far as education/profession goes, it's really hard to know as there are always trolls and those who simply lie or exaggerate.  I'm a bit cynical these days and so I have a hard time believing what people say online.

    I have an engineering background in my studies.  I am a lay person.  I am a writer.

    A few.  I was an engineering technologist who went back to school to get a degree in Theology.  So, I have education in both science, and Theology.  However, most here seem to just give  their opinions, and many are ill-informed to say the least!  Some of us give good answers though.

    - Theologian with a science background (and, work experience)

    Reminds me of time, talking to a lady at door, she said she read the Bible everyday, she went & got her Bible, there was so much dust on the cover you could see her fingerprints.

    That's the way it is on YA.

    Matt 5:3 Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.  Very few people on R&S fall into this category, as you see by their questions & comments.

    "Surely the LORD God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7).

    "See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant" (Jeremiah 1:10)!.

    "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?" (I Kings 3:9)!

    "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor contradict" (Luke 21:15)!

    "Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them" (Jeremiah 5:14)!

    There's too many sock puppet accounts here to even have answers or questions stay up very long. Especially a certain self-appointed hysterical sheriff who just ruins this site for everyone. There's also the cancel culture Christians on here who gang up on those they deem a problem or those they find tell too much truth. It's just not worth it here anymore.

    It's still the same like always.

    Atheists say God doesn't exist.

    Christians copy and paste Bible verses

    Only less aggressive compared to the past
