I remember hearing something about that a few years ago. I think they guy gave up the offer because he realized the overwhelming evidence. Instead why don't you try for this ten million dollar prize?

God is more of a representation of everything, just in a different way to science. Religion does have its lessons to teach whether a god exists or not. Disregarding a whole religion like it didn't pull people through times like the dark ages as a waste is a bit ignorant, if not also foolish. Religion was science before science was science.
