If Christianity teaches us to love our enemies are we even supposed to love terrorists like ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban?
Or the Hitler and the Nazis or the Communists?. What does love your enemies and turn the other cheek really mean?. It's hard to keep this principle.

I think you are a little bit confused on what "love" means and you maybe failed to note that it is talking about people not ideas and organizations.
1 Corinthians 13
If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant.
It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Luke 6:35
But love your enemies and DO GOOD, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil people.

Christian and love shouldn't be in the same sentence. They are only good at hate. Forget about loving their enemy they can't even love neutral people that have nothing to do with them. Know the facts:
51% of Christians want a forced closing of all Mosques44% of Christians want to criminalize Islam in the US67% of Christians support the creation of a national database of Muslims in the United States. -Public Policy Reporting study 2016

Jesus said: “You heard that it was said: ‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those who persecute you.

Like so many you misconstrue and twist the word love to mean advocate and applaud the practice of sin. Nothing could be further from it. A parent that loves their child is by no means going to tell him that his addiction to Heroin is a wonderful thing and that anyone who opposes it hates him; they aren't going to give him money for it or instruct him to sell it to others. They aren't going to march for its legalization If there is the slightest measure of love in the heart of that parent they are going to get that boy help. They are going to bear with all the hardships that come with it because they want their son back. Loving people like this doesn't require that you advocate their actions. Rather you should pray that they change.

Classic Disney movie: "Old Yeller". Beloved family dog is bitten by rabid wolf, and subsequently becomes a danger to the family.
Kid KILLS the dog, which he still LOVES.
Taliban or Talibaptist, makes no difference.
If it's a danger to your family, you can love it AND kill it.

Love the person but not the behaviour. Obviously it would be hard to "love" such people, and there is no reason even to think about them.

with love comes correction.
all parents understand this. (with the HOPE for change)
evil people need correction too.
to protect the innocent.

Yes, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't lock them up.
They need re-habilitation which would be very difficult.
Even saints can't do that all alone.
You would need an Avatar like Jesus.
