What would happen to those poor souls who reject Christianity - would they burn for eternity in HELL FIRE ?

Many Protestants would say yes, however, the fact is, we just don't know. God alone is the Judge, and His Church does not present to be able to read His mind. What we do know is that God loves every human being, and desires to bring each of us home to Heaven. Those who absolutely reject His offer will probably end up in Hell. But those who end up in false religions or false denominations because they were simply misled? We just don't know. We trust in God's love and justice, and we pray that God accept such people into Heaven.

No. Jude verse 7 says hellfire is earthly event, not a place. Tradition caused some mistranslation, so we miss verses like Jesus will draw all, Jn.12:32. And “God is the savior of all” 1Tim.4:10.
This is what happens - quote - all will hear His voice and will rise. Some in the resurrection of life (at the beginning of his long second advent). “And some into “aionian-kolasis” *AGE*LasTing-CORRECTION” (translated, everlasting punishment) Jn.5:28-29; Mt.25:46.
Christians are being corrected now.. The rest of the human family later.

No, hell is mythical, like all gods and afterlives.

This hell fire Jesus spoke of in Matt chapter 5 and Mark chapter 9 has got nothing to do with unsaved people going to a eternal conscious torment in fire as punishment for their sins and rejecting Jesus as their Saviour.
Check any bible lexicon on the meaning of this hell fire and it will direct you to the Greek word "gehenna" which was a real place in Jerusalem in bible times where dead animal bodies and rubbish was burnt up by fire.
Jesus was warning the unbelieving Jews that AFTER death they would have their dead bodies burnt up by fire in Gehenna which was a humiliation for any Jew back then.
That is the context of this hell fire.
Furthermore this parable or story Jesus spoke to the corrupt Pharisees in (Luke 16:14) about a certain rich man dying and then appearing in his BODY again! in hell and suffering in fire and torment (Luke 16:19-24) was never intended to be a doctrine on the state of the unsaved after death.
Jesus was simply mocking and turning the tables on the Pharisees false ideas on the afterlife who invented this teaching in their Talmud writings on rich Pharisees going to Abrahams bosom and poor and sick Jews like Lazarus going to a burning hell.
This is the context of the story spoken by Jesus.
Hebrew "sheol" meaning the Grave.
Greek "hades" meaning the abode of dead.
English "hell" originally meaning a covering of the dead in the grave.
All three words in their different languages have the same meaning and have got nothing to do with people burning forever in fire and torment.
Certain church authorities of the past came up with that meaning for hell which unfortunately many christians believe today.
Is the lake of fire the final place of a burning hell ?
Answer: NO !
Death and hell (grave) will be destroyed in that place by fire (Rev 20:13-15) along with satan.
Do the unsaved who rejected Jesus throughout the ages get thrown ALIVE into this place?
Answer; NO!
They are judged (Rev 20:12) and put to death and their DEAD BODIES are then destroyed by fire called the second death (v:13) in the lake of fire. This is what the wages of sin means for the unsaved >death< never to exist again (Rom 6:23)

No, it doesn't exist.
The jehovah's witnesses cult Armageddon doesn't exist either.
They believe all non JWs will be fried at their never ending doomsday for not belonging to their cult.
Hilarious, isn't it?

Simple answer, that is what false religion teaches them.
The religious clergymen of Christendom have created an image of what they understand to be “hell” or “inferno” in the minds of their church people. It is a terrible image.
Bible translators have not been uniform in rendering that word Sheol into their languages. For instance, the English Bible authorized by King James I translates Sheol thirty-one times as hell, thirty-one times as “the grave,” and three times as “the pit.”
Any reasonable person will therefore have to admit that in the inspired Hebrew Scriptures the words “hell,” “the grave,” and “the pit” mean one and the same thing. And there is no connection of it at all with fire, brimstone and eternal torment.
God, did not say to Adam that, in whatever day he ate of the forbidden fruit, he would go to a “hell” to suffer consciously forever in fiery torments. He warned Adam that he would die the death for disobedience.

No. Hell is a temporary existence where the rebellious suffer great sorrow for their offenses. Most will grasp onto the merciful atonement of Christ and find a level of salvation. Some will never repent and will be cast forever out of Gods light and presence to live in eternal spiritual darkness.

Nope
First hell has no fire. It is a place of outer darkness..where they await judgment day. At which point they will be chucked into the lake of fire (here is the fire) and meet their second final death....poof gone forever and ever
Revelation 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
