download from sites or purchase a 900 dollar cd?

I would like to get some music from old video games such as:  donkey kong country 2 for super nintendo and donkey kong 64 for nintendo 64.  My options are either to purchase the cd for 900 dollars which is a rediculous price or go to the website where the downloads are for free.
