Is South Dakota what happens when somebody starts a state and nobody shows up?

I have a long a$$ joke about South Dakota..

A guy inherited a farm in South Dakota..since he was in dire straights financially he decided to move there until he sold it.  He soon found himself out in the middle of no where. With no transportation..and the first person he'd seen in about a week came moseying up on horse back.

The man surprised him by saying"Hey there partner..wanna come to a party tomorrow?"

The man, missing the "Life in the fast Lane" days of city life, was quick to say "Hell Yeah!"

The man said.."Wait a minute..it's a party..there's going to be some drinking..can you handle that?"

The guy says "Hell yeah!"

The man says..""Wait a minute..there's probably gonna be some fightin'.  Can you handle that?"

One again, city guy is quick to give his assent.

The man says "One more thing..there's gonna be some sex.  Can you handle that?"

City guys says : Hell yeah...gonna be some hot b@tches there?"

The man says "No..no one but me and you, I'll be by to pick you up at 7."

They have just as many senators as your state, though.
