Why does my sister feel so angry and emotionally invalidated by me?

I am only trying to help her get a better handle  on life by bringing up how getting too emotional gets her in so much trouble. I get accused of telling her not to feel and not taking her side and making things worse by giving her the worse case scenario of what could happen .

    You are putting her ways down & trying to force her to dance to a different tune that she does not feel comfortable in. By putting her down she gets defensive & hurt cause no one likes to be criticized or put down.  You are only making matters worse.  You are not helping her with this approach.
