Does anybody know of a domestic violence situation that was ended in a successful, loving, trusting relationship after abuse stops?

People don't change easily, if ever. It takes a number of years growing up to be loving and trusting.

You have it in you or you don't.

I only know of one, and theirs was a single, one-time incident of abuse which involved both parties. But in cases of chronic, ongoing abuse, that always ends badly.

I am sure it happens but the best thing to do if you're not committed is to get out of that situation you deserve better (or whoever)... well sometimes they deserve each other none the less it is best to get out of the situation.

I have never seen this happen, and I've been alive for over 70 years.

What I HAVE seen is wives who finally got the courage to leave an abusive marriage and ended up becoming happy for the first time in years (once they adjusted to the breakup).

I don't know any examples, but if you and your partner can see eye to eye, you could end up in a great relationship if you communicate well afterwards.
