Why did the human brain evolve to believe in God's?

My only explanation is that it must have been misery for cavemen in the African savannah looking at the Milky Way Galaxy and not having all the answers they wanted. Human existence is absurd in the grand scale of the cosmos.

It didn't.  It is as it was created to be.  Adam experienced God for himself.  So should you.  Millions do so every year.  It's the logical thing to do.

Pretty difficult not to "believe in" someone you know personally, Who is active in your life in numerous ways, someone you live in daily relationship and communication with.

Glad you asked. Since an HONEST answer won't fit on a bumper sticker, here's an hour of video.

(Please note that a Thumbs Down response to me posting this, does not prove that ANYBODY'S favourite God or Goddess really DOES exist.)

Our brain did NOT evolve specifically to believe in gods.  However, it DID evolve to have "agency detection".

That means, when we hear a twig breaking, we tend to expect that there is a reason behind it and we become alert to possible danger.

So, that means that our ancient ancestors assume there was a powerful entity up in the clouds that was responsible for lightning and tornadoes.

I haven't looked into the research into the "God genes" i.e. the possibility that there is a set of genes that predisposes one to believe, but the last I heard it seemed unlikely.  However, .humans see patterns where none exist as a survival mechanism i.e. seeing bushes move made early humans expect a predator and now that translates into all sorts of beliefs and superstations.

Friend I'm going to give you a direct quote that the atheists say all the time you even seen it here on Yahoo answers we are the default belief we were here long before there was any idea of God or religion.

Now keep that idea firmly in your head!

If that idea is true then it had to have been an atheist that invented the idea of God and religion they made it as a control mechanism it got out of hand and now they're blaming their own creation for the trouble that they started in the first place.

We are the default belief we were here long before there was any idea of a God or a religion.

By their own statement they're the ones that had to have made a God and religion.

It didn't evolve. and you cannot prove that it did (Nobody Can)

It is the way God made it, and I can't prove that. (but God Can)
