Why would a guy give a girl a treasured possession of his before he moves away?
A guy and a girl are really close friends and have shared a lot of good times together. Before he moves away, he gives the girl one of his mugs that symbolizes some great times and laughter they have shared together. As they are about to say goodbye and hug, he seems to be misty eyed as he says he will miss her and has cherished her friendship. What do you think of this?

He`s giving it to you to remind you of him and the good times you`ve had. The tricky part is wondering if romance had any part in the gesture. I strongly suggest that you two talk about "things" to make sure both of you know what is really happening here. I`ve been married for 55 yrs. and my wife has always been my best friend. Don`t miss the opportunity to clear the air between you two before it is too late. it doesn`t have to be dramatic.
Rather, it`s a common sense thing to do and maybe a rare opportunity to not have to wonder what might have been for the rest of your lives. Best of luck to you both.
