I'm sure your ex cares... the relationship just didn't work out for whatever reasons and this happens. Sorry you're struggling.
There's a lot of information about surviving a break up and how to get through a break up if you google it. You'll get good advice. I'd imagine there are YouTube videos about it too.

They don’t care, so why should you? That relationship didn’t work for a reason. Show that person that you are strong by not allowing them to invade your thoughts. Try hanging out with some friends or watching something mindless on TV. Things will get better, just keep your mind busy :)
