Can lifting heavy weights also increase physical durability (being able to resist injury much better than someone who doesn't lift at all)?

Yes and NO. You keep forgetting abt stretches light exercise and mobility and range of motion exercise you are not doing. You are actually reducing your range of motion, flexibility and ligament and tendon strength. In short you are not reaching your maximum condition or strength. You can actually loose strength in many areas by just lifting heavy and ignoring the rest of your body.

Look at how many joints and bones in the body. Look at the muscle groups as well. You miss more then 3/4 just by doing what you are doing.

Why do you keep asking the same thing. It is obvious yo HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

Yes, lifting weights will help with your bone density if your form is correct when lifting, which will help you not break your bones as easily.
