why do democrats think success( making more than 400,000) should be punished instead of rewarded?

Because the voices in your head say so. I have no idea why you would think the “successful” deserve a “reward”.

Cons keep explaining that the primary role of government is to protect our nation and property.  Those with more property have more to protect.  Have you ever seen an insurance policy?  That's the idea behind taxation based on income.

The left alwasy wants what those who have more, have.  In schools, lets spend the resources on those that are behind, as opposed to supporting the next generation that will actually advance society. If one makes more money, then punish them by takeing more of it and make it more difficult. For them to continue moving forward. Punish success and share the wealth is the fastest way to stagnation of a society.

Taxes are not punishment, they are the cost of living in a functioning country. The people earning over $400,000 can contribute the most, so they should be taxed more. This is how it works in every developed nation.

Why would I want someone making a great salary punished? Reward them? With what? More money?

How about doing away with all the dumb deductions they get, that the average person does not get, so they pay the same percentage in taxes as you and I?

It should be taxed to provide for our people
