why can't democrats understand if you can get the virus through the masks that masks do not work ?

Just another case of conservatives believing the opposite of whats true.

Mask mandates aren't about controlling the spread of a disease.  They are about controlling people.  The government (mostly state) is testing to see how far they can push before people start to push back, resist and refuse to obey.

The point is that it helps prevent YOU from breathing your air, so you can’t get your germs in the air. Despite it not being a 100% preventer, if every person was to always wear a mask over both their mouth and nose in public at all times and not sneaking it off for a breath or taking it off as soon as you get thru entrance COVID spread would be a lot less until the world is vaccinated.

I feel badly for you that you don't understand that though they may not be 100% effective, they drastically lower your chance of contracting Covid.

Would you also argue against seatbelts, condoms, birth control pills and motorcycle helmets? None of those are 100% effective either, but you'd be a complete fool not to use them.

Why can't the government realize that if my car can go over the speed limit. Speed limits don't work.

Maybe you can ask your surgeon to remove his mask when he operates on you
