Why do you care about whether or not there is a "Latin American" philosophy?

Update:

What is gained if there is a "Latin American" philosophy or what is lost if there is not?

I don't, so maybe you should figure out why YOU don't or do care.

Gained:  contemplations about subset of specific LA problems.

Reality:  subset of LA problems:  is a subset of general philosophies, e.g. language/semiotics as essential set, with Spanish, Portuguese, and English as a LA subset .

There is a general set of essential philosophic questions held in all subsets (Chinese, Indian, European, etc.), and imho there are no racial, ethnic, gender, etc. essentially unique philosophic qualia; a "LA" philosopher may focus on coffee beans rather than on walnuts, but a) the essential questions apply across coffee beans and walnuts and b) the specifics of coffee beans or walnuts are subsets of the essential questions, which, while varying in significant details, are simply subdomains of the philosophy of agriculture.

In summary, subset specifics are discussed by a Latin American, but no essential philosophy is "lost" if a given "hypothetical" Latin American philosopher does not exist.
