Not a bit. When Trump finally got off his duff, he recalled our ambassadors from Wuhan but encouraged Americans to come home from wherever they were. He banned Chinese nationals first. Eventually, when people coming in from Europe spread the virus in the USA, he banned tourists from the countries he liked least, not the ones that had the worst epidemics. In the meantime, he spread misinformation, even contradicting his specialists. Trump barely got through an undergraduate degree at Wharton. He couldn't get into a medical school as a cadaver, let alone a student.
