I’m a Mexican us citizen woman traveling to Aden Yemen with my soon to be mother in law . How safe is it to travel to Aden Yemen 2021? ?

Update:

My fiancé was diagnosed bipolar and currently in a manic episode, his dad took him back to his country Aden Yemen . But it seems like it was no help . They now want me to go with his mother to help him out .(we’re the only woman he listens too) That’s why I want to know if it will be safe to go just for a week. Or what should we do ?

Thank you all for answering .

Why are you going to Yemen? Excpect to be vetted on your recently to the US by immigration officers regardless of US citizenship. Enter Yemen on your Mexican passport, for security reasons. I don’t think you are even allowed to go.

As safe as it is to travel to your country.

Not recommended at this time. It is in a complete turmoil. May also put you on the watchlist. Additionally, virus is completely out of control there and a major shortage of all essentials.

Edit: Communicate via video-teleconference, skype or something similar.  You are not a physician, you can be of no help; you will only jeopardize your own life and may never come out. The father already screwed up by going there and now he wants to compound the problem. The mother can go if she wants.  I am surprised he even asked for someone to go there at a time like this.

Not very safe. If the bombs don't get you the famine probably will.

The U.S. Embassy in Sana’a suspended its operations in February 2015, and the U.S. government is unable to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in Yemen....so getting a visa is impossible.. regardless of covid there is terrorism, civil unrest, health risks, kidnapping, armed conflict, and landmines.....so about as unsafe as life can get but you already are fully aware of that!

Not at all safe, rampant with covid! stay where you are.

whatever your nationality, I'd call an embassy or some government agency to find out how risky it is to travel there.

    In what way?

Obviously the pandemic continues, so it's not a great idea to travel anywhere unless it's essential.

    🥴

About as safe as dating someone from a Mexican cartel.

    Dont do it.

If you get trapped out there, youre SOL.

I take it youve never seen Not Without My Daughter with Sally Field?

Visiting anywhere in the Middle East is like that.
