why do democrats want to discourage wealth by overtaxing the wealthy?
people say pay their Fair share well their fair share is the same share as everyone else so stop overtaxing them they should only pay the same as everyone else percentage wise not over half their damn income
all I'm saying is that if the poor only have to pay a certain percentage so should the rich the income tax rate should be flat rate in that way

Because the voices in your head say so. FYI, no matter the tax rate, the more you make, the more you keep. 10% of $1billion is more than 100% of $50k for example.

You poor little kupkake. Are you being "overtaxed", cremepuff? Pay up and love the U.S. or get the hell out. Every single problem facing humanity today is caused by the super-greedy wealthy and everybody knows that except you. Get over it.

Well, in our government everything and everyone is on sale. There are lobbyist. All politicians are on sale. Given you have enough money like Bill Gates, there's no need for billionaires like Gates, Koch Brothers or Musk to run for office. They influence behind the scenes. Presidents are really the scapegoat or fall guy for whatever is happening behind the scenes.
Elon Musk coming from being broke and becoming a billionaire that fast is a reflection of a problem with our taxes. Had Musk been taxed sufficiently he wouldn't have become a billionaire that fast. We're lucky he's Elon Musk and not more evil. But realistically we live in a capitalist society. Capitalism has helped us immensely we would not be where we are without it. It does have flaws though. That fact that our politicians, SCJs are on sale and everyone has a price. Given that a person can have enough money to buy that price is a problem.
If we had laws so politicians and SCJs weren't getting paid off that would solve a lot of things but our politicians and SCJs don't pass laws like that because they like getting that billionaire's money. So until our politicians are less reliant on billionaires paying them off it's better to just tax the rich slow down that process of them becoming billionaires with the ultimate power to buy whatever and whoever they want

See youtube video to understand why Democrat voters want the rich to be taxed more. It's because money is a form of free speech. 1% have a much louder voice than you or I and most Americans. We don't really have a say in how America is shaped because billionaires are doing it behind the scenes

When someone is allowed to make 5 billion a year we get housing market crashes that lead to global depressions
