South Padre Island is open in Texas?

The governor of Texas has declared everything open. While I think he's an idiot, there's very little danger in being outside on a beach. There are no instances of outdoor transmissions unless people were in close proximity with people not in their "pods" and talking in each other's faces. If you go there to enjoy the beach, you'll be fine. If you go there to get drunk, hang out in bars, and have sex with strangers, you'll suffer the same fate as 10s of thousands of spring breakers last year.
