Regarding Mass Shootings in America, should we just get used to them and accept them?

    Well, that IS what the Republican leadership wants and expects us to do ... Let's hope Joe Manchin wakes up to allow Senate Democrats the opportunity to begin fixing the damage forty years of Republican domination in Washington has done, beginning with voting rights (HR-1/S-1) and some effective gun control legislation that the VAST majority of Americans support.

    Accepting mass shootings is enabling it.  There must always be consequences, or it will become more widespread.  Also, consider how you would feel if someone that you loved died from such violence, because it was accepted.

    We have about 35 shootings every weekend in Chicago. So I grew up being use to it.

    Mass shootings while popular in media,  account for far less than 1% of all shootings in America.   The problem is we’ve become so accustomed to day to day murders that they typically don’t make the headlines.   Mass shootings get media coverage precisely because they are relatively rare and therefore newsworthy.
