I am fairly certain that allowing eligible citizens to vote unimpeded, is a “death blow” to the constitution which gives citizens the right to vote in the first place. Nope, regressives are terrified of Americans voting Democrat.

No. "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude."
15th Amendment to the US Constitution.
We know exactly what Republicans in some states are trying to do. They made that exceedingly clear in their reactions to the results of the 2020 election. Trump tweeted, for instance, that he wanted the votes in Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Atlanta thrown out as fraudulent. Those areas have large African American populations.
HR1 is an attempt to counteract Republican voter suppression tactics and to institute voting reforms that would protect the right of American citizens to vote.

Actually, the final and fatal blow was averted when Trump's RedHat Army failed to take over the Capitol building and execute Mike Pence.

The founding father Thomas Jefferson said the constitution is a "living document" and should be updated according to the times equating continued use of an outdated version of it to continuing to wear the same clothes you wore as a baby, as an adult, they no longer fit or work properly.
Much like claiming America is a "Christian Nation" conservatives don't know what they are talking about, you know the constitution as much as you know The Bible. None whatsoever. Just saying.
