yes and no, the former church of Jesus, were jewish and not gentiles, to reject gentile churches is appropriate, this includes all christianity, except where undefiled religion is aopropriate. in my studies the only iundefiled church exists in heaven, the only church on earth is the redtored church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. therfore all people must throw down all false doctrines and repent, because everything has been corrupted by men. thus saith the Lord with His own lips. they are all: "wrong" however there is salvation through faith and with His grace... but their creeds and precepts of men are an "abomintion" to HIM

Depends on what you mean by "believe in". Virtually everyone, including atheists and members of non-Christian religions, "believes" He existed, since it is a historical fact. "Believing" in Him in a way that results in eternal salvation means accepting Him as the Lord and Savior of humanity, Who came to Earth 2,000 years ago, founded a Church to which He promised the fullness of God's truth until the end of time, died a horrible death in atonement for our sins, rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven.

Some people believe in him as a prophet but not as God. For example, this is believed by Muslims.

Many people believe that Jesus existed and that he was a religiously involved individual. But remember, Jesus was NOT a Christian either.

Even the demons of Jesus day confessed his name- but it did them no good.

Sure. One can believe He existed, but He wasn't/isn't the Christ. One can consider Him a fraud, a loony, or a virtuous man.
