Elon Musk wants to use he’s personal fortune to get him to b the first Human to set foot on Mars , would it be better if he was to use his wealth to improve things here on Earth instead , ie like spending money on non fossil fuel energy systems , protecting the Environment through eco friendly systems designed to provide food or water, or energy etc rather than the whim he’s got in mind suggesting Mars has the answers humanity seeks?

Musk is improving things on Earth already. He is spending billions building electric cars to save the planet and give us something to drive for the future.

No, we'd be better off with him being on Mars.
He should be put in a pod with Vernon Unsworth and they can live on Mars together.
Mars is already unsuitable for human inhabitants. Whatever is wrong on Earth it is not as bad as the Mars situation.

It is none of your business what he or anyone else spends their money on. Musk happens to believe that Earth is doomed and we had better start colonizing other planets.
