Where was The Queens of Persia at alexander's feet or also called the Tent of Darius by Charles Le Brun made? ?

    Where was he when he painted it?

    Probably France, in or around Paris. The painting was commissioned by Louis XIV in 1660, and was displayed in the Grand Cabinet du Roi, at the Tuileries palace in 1663. Later in 1682 it was moved to the Salon of Mars in Versailles. During the Revolution it was moved to the Louvre for safe keeping, but has since been put back in Versailles.
