Covid 19 doesn't cause colds, it can cause cold / flu like symptoms. What causes the common cold is a different virus from covid 19.

There have been some drugs developed to treat covid, but some weren't successful There are vaccines for covid but they're not 100 percent effective.

Vaccines / drugs have to recognize the virus and so some thing to kill it. That can be tricky to do, specially with a complex looking virus like covid 19.

Patience, Grasshopper.   Your free market is responding.   Things take time.   A web page used to take a few minutes to start up.

There are drugs to relieve the symptoms and help a patient survive a severe case.  But there is no cure for any virus. It has to run its course.

    There are treatments available.

Try to find a chart of hospitalizations in Maryland.  I can't find it but I'm interested in seeing it.  Maryland has embraced the Regeneron & Eli Lily antibody therapy.

    There are anti-inflammatories.

Some people are still using HCQ and the recent studies don't totally discount it.

We also don't know about vitamin D.  But anyone who is not supplementing with vitamin D3 is not being very smart.

-- Vietnam has the lowest covid rates and covid death rates of any country with more than 25,000 and they use it for their treatment.

There are treatments available to hospitalized patients. There’s antiviral meds, as well as antibody treatments. There’s no cure though. The best treatment is prevention, both by vaccines and avoiding infection in the first place (masks, hygiene, social distancing).

There are many drugs used in the treatment of COVID-19. Some have been more successful than others. But viruses are hard to treat- that's why we all continue to get colds. Yes, scientists are working on treatments. For now, the best thing is to get vaccinated.
