Is it possible for the ECU to use the old parameters of the MAF sensor before I cleaned the sensor?
I cleaned the MAF sensor and can still notice the engine vibration but with improved acceleration. I’m beginning to suspect this maybe the old parameters being used with the cleaned sensor.

Take the battery cable off for a minute and reconnect the battery. That will reset the memory to "zero" or open loop settings until you have driven the car for a few days. It will relearn timing and octane and so on as time passes.

there is something wrong with you thinking the ecu uses the values it receives from the maf to help determine the fuelling does it stall when you unplug the maf?

The MAF sensor readings are used for the fuel curves. The reason most do it your self materials say to remove the battery terminal before servicing is so that the ECM does a dump and restarts with factory parameters. Many of us don't always dump the memory because of things like security codes having to be reset. Given time the ECM will adjust the fuel curves and if the problem was the MAF sensor it will go away. But if the problem was not the MAF, the problem/s will remain.

Year make and model. Except for fuel trims, the ECU does not store any other old parameters. What is the car doing? Are there any trouble codes? Check misfire count date with a scanner. You might have a bad coil. If you do not have a scanner, check misfire with a power balance test. Look for the misfiring cylinder.

You've got no idea what's going on or what you're doing. You need a mechanics scan tool to read the engine data to see if all the sensors are working within spec. The MAF doesn't "use old parameters".

The ECU will use the old long term fuel trims until it has completed a calibration cycle, usually only minutes, or you clear it with a scan tool.
