Jesus was famous among the Jews, but after His death and resurrection, the apostles continued to teach in His name, sharing Him even beyond the borders of Israel, into Gentile lands --- and Christians gained so many numbers that the people in governments began to feel like their power was threatened, so Christians (the believers in Messiah of both Jewish and Gentile alike) were subjected to persecution. Long before the Diaspora, the people who followed the Messiah (Ha'Moshiach) were targets of persecution and had to flee from place to place, but the greatest persecutor of the people of God has historically been Rome. By the time Jesus was on the earth, the Sanhedrin was basically like a puppet government. God established the Scriptures, but Hillel the elder established Babylonian Judaism, in Babylon, which is the rabbinical traditions. Gamaliel, a president of the Sanhedrin in the time of Jesus, was from the family line of Hillel the elder.
But Jesus had the rightful claim to the throne of King David, and before He was taken captive, the people were praising Him in the streets, acknowledging Him as the Son of David, and Pontius Pilate asked Jesus if He was a king, and put up the inscription above His cross which said that He was the King of the Jews. The apostle Paul explained that God has never cast off the righteous, but only the branches of unbelief, were removed, but Paul goes on to explain that they can be grafted back in again. Jesus explained that no one can take His life, without His permission to do so, and that He came into this world for the purpose of being the sacrifice that would pay for the sins of mankind. Jesus was on that cross for the sins of humanity, for our sins, but on the cross, He forgave our sins. We all put Him on the cross, which was our cross. And yes, even the religious leaders who claimed to speak for God, put Him to death. The apostles preached to both Jews and Gentiles alike (the circumcision and the uncircumcision). They were appointed to preach to the whole world, because the Messiah of Israel was meant for everyone.

God does not love sin of any kind..
Burnt animal offerings are no longer
atonement for sins.
They’re still waiting for their Messiah,
but unfortunately for them,that may
be the anti-Christ that they fall for.
Because the anti-Christ WILL CLAIM TO BE THEIR MESSIAH.

What do you mean by “don’t know about Jesus”? We do know about him and we don’t accept him as the Messiah. And we really don’t care what Christians think about that.
