Tarragon, oregano, chives etc are examples of herbs that have always been allowed using SNAP. Herbal cannabis is sometimes used as an ingredient in cooking for its flavor as well.

'... cannabis is added as an ingredient to one of a variety of foods, including butter and baked goods. In India it is commonly made into a beverage, bhang.' Since there is no conflict with its legality, it should be permitted in the same fashion by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

    No. Most people smoke it.

    Why would it be?

    Tobacco and Alcohol are not!...

UPDATE 1: @Aaron W - Sure it is used to add flavor to food (I've done that plenty of times myself) - but so is beer, wine, and even whiskey and other spirits.  There is NO nutritional value to it (alcohol at least provides calories) it just adds a little flavor, and a depending on the strain, a tiny bit to a lot of an intoxicating element.

UPDATE 2: Quick tip - Forget baked goods, try seasoning beef with it (in hamburger, on steak or Lundon broil and BBQ it) - Yumm! - OMG delicious!

No. You'd get the munchies & use the EBT & have neither too quickly and never know it
