I drank too much last night and feel like puking, should I stick my finger down my throat over the toilet or toughen it out?

My stomach hurts.

    YES!!!!

    OH and buy some Pedialyte for the future.

    You will want a **** ton of liquids after drinking because you are dehydrated.

    Drinking water will fill you up enough to puke again.

    Drink some Pedialyte before you go to bed.

    Lay on your left side.

    I use electrolyte power now, but yeah, rehydrate.

    Puking won't help.

    Your stomach hurts because the alcohol hurt your stomach lining, and the alcohol has already been absorbed into your body, so puking won't help.

    Our stomach releases hydrochloric acid to digest protein. This is a VERY strong acid, but our stomach lining produces mucous to protect it from the alcohol.

    Unfortunately, alcohol dissolves some mucous .. more for some people .. and you have eroded a bit of your stomach lining.  Your stomach will stop hurting when it heals, and if it was just a mild injury it should heal quickly.

    But now you know that YOU have stomach probelms from alcohol. Your body is warning you to NOT drink alcohol.  A bleeding ulcer in your stomach can kill you.

    I would suggest you see if you need to dry heave, then get some sleep, water, then eat something light like a sandwich. Its gotta come out as poop or vomit.

    Puking sucks, I'd toughen it out. Sleep on your side. Try no know your limit next time. You'll likely start having diarea after you eat and drink water. 

    Eat things that make you poop. 

    Cheese, deli meat, apple, pickle, pizza.

    Even fast food if you can stomach it.

    Just drink a big glass of water, if you can hold that down for 1/2 hour repeat - the water will re-hydrate you if it doesn't make you puke and water is what your body needs to start feeling better.
