What is the meaning of "se" in this Spanish sentence?

Y voy a mirar como se lo lleva el viento.

I know it means "And I am going to watch how/where the wind takes him" (for context a woman is talking about a man who stole from her family) I am confused why the se is needed? I don't think it is reflexive... Is it possible it is passive or impersonal? Maybe indirect pronoun? Someone please help, a breakdown on how it is used as well as a how it is literally being used in the sentence would be helpful. Thank you.
