Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

I've had this Y!A account for about 15 years. Really heartbroken that Y!A is shutting down.?

Y!A is my home on the net.

Pretty sure this is the first online account I ever made - I think I was 8 or 9 when I started using this account, I'm 23 now.

I've been active through the years too.

I made a lot of memories on this site, it's almost a record of my life.

It's good that Yahoo are providing a way to archive Q/A's but it's still pretty crappy of them to erase such an integral part of internet history.

Goodbye Yahoo Answers, you will be sorely missed.

    Hello Madame Puffs,

I concur. I've been with Y!A since it went live. This forum was quite easy to use.

Unfortunately, business forces have caused Oath to close this service unfortunately. Y!A have been losing market share to the competition for years.

As a TSA agent, I made it a point to help people here with their inquires about airport security processes.

It will be sad once this service goes dark.

Its a reminder that everything in life is only temporary. Nothing lasts forever, nothing is permanent, everyone dies and everything they ever did or said is one day forgotten. Nothing truly matters, except what you make matter. So my advice is to have fun, find something new and just live out your days, it wont matter in the end, but it mattered while you were doing it. Thus, don't be sad that its over, be happy that it happened.
