c.) If melting ice to water requires 6.01 kJ/mol, how many laser pulses are needed to melt 5.0 grams of ice?

    The energy needed to melt the 5 grams of ice is

    (6.01 kJ/mol)(5.0 g)/(18.015 g/mol) = about 1.7 kJ but use calculator.

    As to the laser, the wavelength alone is not enough information to determine the amount of energy in each pulse.  You left out some of the information given in the problem.
