Based on the assumption that blacks are more likely to be criminals than any other group, and based on the actual crime statistics concerning black criminals.

    I do not know the split, but they are more likely to be stopped. Not becouse they are more likely to be criminals, but becouse % wise. They are more likely to live in higher crime/poorer areas which have a higher % of cops patrolling. So the chance for interactions is increased.

    Imagine that crime is evenly spread and that you have limited resources, you decide to target certain area's, places where people are less likely to hire competent lawyers so you have a higher conviction rate.   You shouldn't be surprised if you find more crime there then in other places.

    I was talking to a immigrant years ago who had a radio stolen, he went to the cops who told him to his face that he had probably stolen it himself.  And that is how his distrust for the police started.

    In high school all my friends were black. Forty years later all my friends are white.  I don't think I'm racist though.  It's not my fault all my high school friends are now in prison.

    True, same with white guys in a pick up truck.  Most likely to be pulled over by fitting the profile of being a drunk red neck.
