Do you think there's a chance my ex and I will get back together in the near future now that she's older and more mature?
I'm 41and she's 24 now
We had a strong relationship at first she was the love of my life.
She was the one who came onto me when we worked together. She worked at the cafe at my work. She was only 20 at the time. We immediately became best friends. We both like star wars, are nerds and obsessed with comics/action movies. We added each other online, started going out on dates and then next we knew it I was taking her on a trip to Cali for her 21st birthday since she'd never been to the beach before (we live in new mexico). On the trip after amazing sex, all day at the beach and all night eating, drinking and having fun we decided that we'd move in with each other when we got back home. We found an apartment while still in Cali and I paid the deposit. We moved in together a month later and started decorating. Her family liked me despite the 17 year age difference.
Then the fighting started, I loved her so much and she was madly in love with me and so everything was extreme when we had feelings. 6 months later we moved out of the apartment. We still stayed together but wanted the relationship to work and think we went too fast moving in together. I introduced her to all my college buddies and told all my friends she was the one I was going to marry.
Then she broke up with me and said I just liked her for her looks and sex and she told everyone I was a narcissist. She got a new bf for 6 months then dumped him. Now she says there's a chance and she can't stop thinking about me
I paid most of the $1800 rent she was responsible for $400 plus contributing to food.
Her parents paid all of her other bills except her cell phone $45. She complained that $445 plus groceries was too much for her working at a coffee shop part time.
She also was used to her parents doing her laundry, feeding her dog, cooking and cleaning for her.
Now that she's 24 she's graduated college, is more mature, has more life experience. She still says I am the love of her life
