The beef is what it has been for decades and what was proved under Obama. The vast majority of the funds end up lining someones pocket, not actually used to build or repair anything. In the last 50 or so years, we have had one train/rail project after another in this country. All have ended the same, being a waste of money.  Rail is not, has not been in a very very long time, part of the American mindset. It was once, but that time is long gone, the push for the European system of rails is a waste. Now, the multiple infrastructure projects that Obama nixed for natural gas would have been completed by now, would have lowered our green house gases by now, our total emissions by now, would now be providing a very cheap, American produced, energy source that could have been the bridge to green.renewables.

No, "Will it destroy jobs or create? Hard to tell what is"... just no. Calm down. Investing in jobs, our selves and our country is not a bad thing. Sometimes you need to spend some money to make money.

Infrastructure helps immensely.  In February, an arctic air mass crippled petrostate Texas' infrastructure.  People lost electrical power, froze in their homes.  Some of them experienced water damage.
