Im a complete noob to Ubunto or Linux. Ive used windows all my life and have only installed ubuntu. I bought a printer and it didnt have the drivers for the OS. Went to the webpage and found some but I dont know what to do. So I have a few questions:

1. There over a dozen files to download. Do I need them all? Or just one? Ill post a link to the EPSON website at the bottom so you can see what I mean.

2. Any way to give me a quick tutorial since Im not using the Software Center? I don't really understand the synaptic package manager and can't find the file i downloaded.

I need a software that clicks one button and then waits 15mins and clicks the same button again and then waits 10minutes then clicks it again. I need it to do this on an infinite loop. So for example, lets say it clicks a button and turns on a light. Then after 15 minutes, it shuts the light off. Then 10minutes later, it'll turn it back on and continue on this infinite loop. What's the best macro software to do this and how would I write a script (I think that's what they are called) to pull this off?

Without xfiles & Fringe, I have nothing now. What do I watch? Anything near as good as any of these shows?

I'm running cable in my warehouse and I have no choice but to tie wrap a cat 6 cable to the outside of an electrical conduit coming down. Wondering if this will cause any interference or any signal loss. The conduit should be properly grounded. Any help?
