2 AnswersGarden & Landscape7 years agoI have something on the bottom of my foot. How do I know if it is a wart or a callous?
Nothing I do works to remove it. It is to the left of the ball of my foot and has been there for years. Just lately it has become uncomfortable to walk. Can I put wart remover on it, and will that hurt me if it is not a wart?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions9 years agoTraveling to San Juan, Puerto Rico?
I am looking to make reservations for a trip to San Juan. The hotels are all sorted as North/East/South/West. Which area will put me near Old San Juan?
Some of the hotels rather close to the airport seem nice, but will it take long to take a bus to El Morro and other old sites?
What do you suggest?

3 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoLooking for student info question sheet?
I am looking for a question sheet that can help you to get to know your students. Besides the standard name/address/phone, I am looking for something that has personalized questions as well.
I once saw a sheet that asked questions such as "What is your favorite movie? Why?"
"If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?"
It also asked things about extracurricular activities and personal responsibilities.
Can anyone help with some ideas to generate my own question sheet, or direct me to a good one?
Thanks!

My nephew is allergic to soy, wheat and yeast AND has environmental allergies. He has dried drops of soy wheat and yeast 2 minutes before eating and his adnoids were removed. He always sounds like he has a cold. He is stuffy and irritable. It is often not comfortable to eat.
PLEASE! Can you advise? Is there something else that the doctor should be doing? Yesterday he said to me "The doctor fixed my nose but it didn't work." :-(

2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat is a normal thyroid level?
I SWEAR that I have a thyroid problem. My Ob/Gyn did a blood test and referred me to my doctor. She said that the # was abnormal. Everytime that my doctor checks it he says that it is normal. Last time it was 3.5. Is that normal? I have the following symptoms:
Cold hands and feet
A tendency to feel the cold
Depression
Tiredness especially in the morning
Headache
Constipation
Swollen eyelids especially in the morning
Loss of hair
Dry skin
The dry skin is particularly bothersome and I hate the hair loss. I am ALWAYS tired and seem to gain weight no matter what I do. How do I make my doctor listen to me? Should I see an endocrinologist even though my doc thinks that there is no problem? He has no explanation for my symptoms and tells me simply that my thyroid was normal at 3.5.

My friend had to have her cat's tail amputated. She said that her balance seems to be off since. I know that their whiskers affect their balance. Does the tail? Anything she can do to help it. The entire tail was removed; there is no stub at all.

I have been taking Celexa. Since starting I have had many dreams. I know that we always dream. The difference is that I wake and remember them. Is this due to my medicine? If not... possible other causes? Thanks; would love to check out a website if you know one that will help.
1 AnswerMental Health1 decade agoCan someone observing you know that you are having a flashback?
I was talking to my counselor. He and I were both quiet for a moment as he wrote down some notes. I was gazing out the window. I do not know how for long, but I was thinking about an incident that occurred when I was younger. Very quietly he said "Melanie. Do you have flashbacks?" It took him a minute to get my attention.
Is there something about your appearance that he could tell I was flashing back? Or was it just a question?
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoFlashback versus Memory?
I recently began talking to a counselor about some traumatic events that have happened recently.
When he took my history he asked about my childhood, etc. I told him about a couple things. I was quiet while he wrote some notes and I was thinking about an incident where I was beaten and trying to decide whether or not to tell him about it. He said very quietly "Do you have flashbacks?"
When he asked the question I became aware that this is exactly what was happening. But before this time I just thought they were memories. Is it possible for him to tell that I was having a flashback? Or was it just a question, a guess?
So then I started thinking about the things that were maybe flashbacks and realized that I remembered many details, step by step. Then I thought about happy things and those memories were just glimpses; not detailed at all.
So is that what the difference is? I am visual so I remember every step of being beaten. But with happy stuff I just see a quick glimpse, asaphoto
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoIroning out creases in cross stitching?
I have 5 completed cross stitches that I just washed and ironed. Three of them came out great. One has a slight crease from where it was folded. The last has a very defined crease that will not come out. I ironed it while it was damp under a towel. Is there a way to get the creases out of the last 2? I did the same thing to all 5, so I do not understand why 2 are being stubborn!
Thanks!
