  • How much should I sell my dishwasher for?

I have a portable dishwasher that is approximately 5 years old. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Great condition. Only truly used about 3 out of the 5 years we've owned. I have no idea how much we should sell it for. We paid $400 for it brand new.

  • What would you do if it were your child?

I have a 10 year old son. He LOVES to hang out with his dad. His dad has a new gf, been dating for about a year. Since he started dating her, he doesn't call my son as much anymore. In fact, if my son doesn't call him, they don't speak.

Lately my son only has been asking to call his gma to spend the night. I asked him why he doesn't ask to call his dad much anymore and he said this his "stepbrothers" fight (physically) too much and it scares him.

Of course this really pissed me off but I didn't show it. I just asked does he ever say anything when they fight and he said that he tells his dad and the gf. He said that they break up the fight (but apparently there is no punishment).

I'm thinking about calling his father and the gf and asking them to come over so my husband and I can sit down and talk to them like adults about the situation. What would you do?

  • How can I become friends with my husband?

My husband and I have had a very rocky relationship. Been together 6 years, married for 3 but most of the time we have not gotten along. We vowed on New Year's Even (our anniversary)....New Year, New Relationship.

I want so badly to be madly in love with him and I want him to be my bestfriend (and vice versa) but I don't know what steps to take. Does anyone (preferably with similar experience) have any suggestions? Thanks

  • Why did another woman catch an attitude when I questioned her about calling my husband's phone?

My husband left his cell phone at home (in my possession). While he was out a woman called for him. She said he buys movies from her. So I asked had he contacted recently (trying to find out if she was just calling to solicit or if she was returning his call). She had the nerve to catch an attitude with me and put her husband on the phone as if to prove something. It just boggles my mind that a woman would catch an attitude with me because I questioned her call!! What do you think? Have you dealt with similar situations?

  • How much would you be willing to pay for these cuties?

I'm going to be conducting a fundraiser soon. There a link below for homemade wreaths. How much do you think these are worth? We don't want to overprice them but we don't want to take less than what they are worth.

  • Please give me your craft ideas for a fundraiser...?

I am trying to raise money for outfits for youth's dance group at my church. I am looking for unique ideas for crafts we can make yet they need to be easy enough for girls ages 6-11 to create. I'm hoping we can do something that people may want to buy for Christmas gifts.

    Ideas please and thank you!

  • Why does my dryer take so long?

I recently moved into a house where the washer and dryer were left for my use. When I put clothing into the dryer, I have had it take up to 2 hours for the clothes to dry.

I clean out the lint screen after EVERY drying cycle. I even took the silver thing off the back and cleaned that out (it was corroded with built up lint). Even after doing that, it STILL takes the dryer forever to dry. It's killing my electric bill not to mention my time.

    Anyone have any suggestions??

  • Can anybody find credible information for me on the rules of election day?

I recently read that you can't wear anything into the polls that represents the person you plan to vote for. I was told you would be turned away from the polls for campaigning.

Is this true and can you please send me a link with this information from a CREDIBLE site? Thank you!

  • How can I celebrate my son's birthday?

My son's 10th birthday is tomorrow. My husband and I just don't have the money to get anything for him. I feel that "hitting double digits" is an important milestone and I'd hate to regret celebrating my son's 10th birthday without a gift.

My son's father and his father's new gf are throwing his party that my husband and I are attending. I do not want to go empty-handed. Does anyone have a suggestion of something we could make or do that would make us and my son happy?

  • Which job would you pick?

I am a married mom of 4. I became a stay at home mom about 3 years ago while I attended college and then had my 4th child. Now that my youngest is knocking on 1, I am anxious to get back in the work force.

I am interviewing for 2 different positions. One interview is tomorrow and the other is Monday. The positions are completely different from each other. If they both are offered, I am not sure which one I should pick.

Job #1 - It's a job that I know I would enjoy. I would work Saturday & Sunday from 4 pm until midnight and then 12 midnight until 8 am Wednesday morning. It possibly offers benefits but I'm not sure. This job would offer lots of room for advancement but I'm not too fond of working weekends. But I can see the benefit of being home during the weekdays.

Job #2 - This job is not one that I wouldn't necessarily be fond of but there is definite opportunity for advancement and/or switching departments. It definitely offers benefits. I'd work during the hours my kids are in school (still being able to put my kids on the bus and get them off). And I'd automatically be off when the kids are on vacation from school.

If you were me and had to choose which one to work for, which one would it be? I'm not sure what the pay diff is so I can't even use that in my comparison. Thanks for all answers.

  • How do you get your kids to remember to turn the lights off?

I have 4 kids, 3 of which are old enough to make an effort to remember to turn lights off and close doors when leaving a room. Does anyone have a suggestion to get them to remember to do this?

Also what do you think are appropriate bedtimes for 4, 7, and 10 year old kids?

  • My 10 month old daughter has a low grade fever of 99.7 degrees.

Should I be concerned? She is teething right now (her top 2 teeth are coming in). She's been very quiet and low key today, she's usually pretty active.

  • I want to redecorate my daughters' bedroom on a really tight budget! Any suggestions?

They are girly girls so they love the girly colors like pink & purple. I personally have a passion for yellow! The rooms are painted like a slightly yellowish off-white color already and I don't want to repaint. We don't have alot of money to work with as I have 2 other children as well that will need their rooms done as well. Any suggestions? I would also like to try to make projects out of some of the work instead of just going out and buying stuff! Their ages are 4 and 7. Thanks in advance for all answers!

  • What age was your baby when you stopped co-sleeping?

I have a 10 month old baby that has been co-sleeping with myself and my hubby since birth. I am considering transitioning her into a crib. We just recently moved and the way our house is set up, her nursery is in a seperate room just off of our bedroom (kinda like a bathroom off a master bedroom but it's a nursery instead). Now that we have room for a crib and all the nursery set up, I am willing to let her sleep alone. I'm sure she'd be willing to get through most of the night alone but I just wondered what age most people stop co-sleeping and how did you do the transition?

    Thanks in advance for answers!

  • How do I find time for myself after having my baby?

I have a 10 month old, 4 yr old, 7, yr old and 10 yr old. How can I find time to care for myself when I'm always so busy with the kids? I constantly am running around taking care of everyone else's needs and always forget about myself. Every time I say that I'm going to do something for myself like do my hair in a nice hair style or paint my nails...I always seem to find that other pile of laundry that just needs to get done or the load of dishes that need to be washed.

I almost feel like I don't know how to stop myself from being mommy and wife and just be ME! I don't bother to get dressed up anymore...heck I don't even have the clothes do that if I wanted to. I realized recently that I don't even like to have pix taken of me because I don't like the way I look anymore. Any suggestions??? Help please!

No smart comments please! Thanks in advance

  • Reoccuring dream?

My mom keeps having dreams that my brothers and I are little kids again. One dream she woke up (in her dream) and yelled at her husband (whom she was not with when we were little) that they needed to go get the boys (my brothers) some bunk beds because she was tired of them sleeping on the floor. Now the dream took place in her new house that she just bought a year ago.

The other dream (this one keeps reoccuring) is that she is frantic that she has to hurry up and take me shopping for school clothes.

Does anyone have ANY clue why she keeps having dreams that we are little again, why they keep reoccuring and what they mean???

Thanks in advance for all answers!
