  • My employees are unable to log onto our network from a workstation that has been turned off for several months?

    I know that network connectivity is not the issue; I need to make it possible for users to access the domain from that computer as quickly as possible to avoid losing profit for the company. I also do not want to create any issues for a third-party application that identifies computers by SID. What should I do?

    I have ideas, but I don't know if any will actually fix the problem. PLEASE HELP.

    -Reinstalling Windows on the computer and create a new account in the domain

    -Rename the computer and create a new computer account with the new name in ADUC

    -Reset the computer account in ADUC, move the computer to a workgroup and then rejoin it to the domain

    -Move the computer to a workgroup then rejoin it to a domain.

  • If I join the active duty Air Force, what are my chances of getting a base on my "dream sheet"?

    I've never heard of someone actually getting a duty station on a base that they wanted. Ever. I guess I'm just asking if it's possible.

    I would really like to be stationed at Joint Base Charleston (SC), and I'm even prepared to take a job as a loadmaster or something along those lines because they're known as an "airlift" base. What are my chances?

  • Is the Air National Guard a good choice?

    I'm looking into joining the Air National Guard, mainly because I want to still have the option of living my everyday life when I get back from basic and the individual training. I know that there's a required one weekend a month and two weeks out of the year for drill and such, but will I lead a regular normal life otherwise?

    I want to use the ANG as a platform, to get where I eventually want to go, I just want to make sure it's the right choice. I'm scared to sign any kind of lengthy contract, but that's just because I don't know what's going to happen in my future.

    Any advice would be welcome.
