I am a Born Again (Praise God) Christian who takes a very conservative view of the Bible. That means I believe in the inerrancy of the Scriptures, that God's laws are not suggestions, and that His Word is living and true. I don't believe that people who call themselves Christians who continue to swear, drink to excess, and commit adultery are truly Christians. Any belief other than the Gospel that was preached by Christ, Peter, Paul, and the other disciples of the New Testament is a FALSE Gospel--sorry LDS and JW's. Any church that doesn't believe in the Bible as it's FOUNDATION is misleading it's members--sorry Roman Catholics, Methodists, and nearly all mainline "Christian Churches"... The Bible is TRUE, reliable, and accurate. It is our only direct revelation from God. You either believe it, or you believe whatever the wind brings... Oh yes, I have two BEAUTIFUL boys, 9 years and 22 months, and a lovely wife to whom I have been married for 11 years.

  • il-el jung? Tae Kwon Do?

I am learning tae kwon do from an accredited hall of fame master, but am finding it hard to find information on my second form in the white belt progression. I find chong-ji everywhere, but not il-el (sp). It is a turn to left, back stance in-to-out block(ki-yap) ,front stance palm strike, front snap kick, thrust punch, reverse punch; 180 turn and repeat with right hand; 90 degree to left and repeat(ki-yap).

    Any ideas?

  • Jehovah's Witnesses and Latter Day Saints, please respond to Galations 1:8-9?

Galations 1:8-9 is very clear...any person--angel or man--that presents a different Gospel than that taught by the Apostles (which is that Christ was God incarnate, was crucified for our sins, raised on the 3rd day, and that He alone provides savation through His grace by faith alone) is to be condemned.

Read it and then please provide a thoughtful response--no haters please...

    Galations 1:8-9 (NASB)

8But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

9As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

  • If your friend or family member was drowning, would you try to save them?

CHRISTIANS: This will be my last ever question and answer session. But I want to ask everyone: Which is more loving--to speak the truth to someone, even though it may cause them to be angry or hostile; or to simply let them live their life knowing all the time the path they are on leads to destruction, because you want to be politically correct and not offend them?

Would you stop a friend from stepping in front of a speeding train? Would you stop a family member from committing suicide? Would you stop someone you love from choosing to live a life of crime that could get them killed or put in jail?

How much do you love your friends and family? Are you willing to die for them? Are you willing to at least speak the truth to them?

If you are not sharing the Gospel with your friends, enemies and family that don't know Jesus, are you really loving them? Or are you too afraid to share the GRACE and LOVE you felt when you received your salvation?

  • How about it Islam? Why not peace?

Check out this quote given in a question posed by a Muslim brother.

"As we can see, God has forbidden every kind of mischievous acts in the religion of Islam including terrorism and violence, and condemned those who commit such deeds. A Muslim lends beauty to the world and improves it."

"But as for those who break God's contract after it has been agreed and sever what God has commanded to be joined, and cause corruption in the earth, the curse will be upon them. They will have the Evil Abode. (Surat ar-Ra'd: 25)

Seek the abode of the hereafter with what God has given you, without forgetting your portion of the world. And do good as God has been good to you. And do not seek to cause mischief on earth. God does not love mischief makers.' (Surat al-Qasas: 77)"

    MY QUESTION IS THIS:

If this quote is true, why is the Middle East always in strife? Why are Christian Missionaries killed for sharing the Gospel in Muslim countries? What about Al-Queda? Taliban? Aren't they Muslim?

  • How can Mohammed be the greatest prophet when he performed no miracles, and was chastised by God?

Mohammed is supposedly a greater prophet than Christ(nevermind that Christ was much more than a prophet), yet Mohammed never performed a miracle...never raised himself from the grave(I know--Islam teaches that Christ didn't die...) and was chastised by Allah for disobedience...Yet Christ performed miracles, raised himself from the grave, and was totally without sin.

If Allah is the greatest prophet because he was chronologically the last prophet, does that make Micah a greater prophet than Isaiah? Or Joel a greater prophet than Moses?

And If Christ came to teach the Jews about compassion and faith, and to lead them away from legalism (which is what Islam teaches He did), and the Jews are cursed for not following His message, why did Allah then send Mohammed to teach a religion of legalism and to spread it at the point of a sword?

I am not looking for smart-aleck answers. Please don't respond with simple statements of faith... I am looking for a well reasoned response.
