I've been dating a man for only 2 weeks, but would like to buy him a small gift for x-mas. Any suggestions?
He's 33 and has a lot of outdoor interests. I don't want to spend too much, but I don't want to look cheap either. Any suggestions?
3 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIs it me or is everyone else crazy?
Been married for 8 years (2 kids ages 8 & 6). I've known my husband has been cheating on me with different people but I didn't do anything about it. I just figured it was me with the problem. This made my self esteem drop. About 2 years ago I decided it was time to put myself first. I started jogging and taking care of myself. I had/have a whole new outlook. Then I had an affair myself. Nothing too serious although I would like it to be and the other guys doesn't (thats a whole diff. issue). I kicked my husband out of the house and filed for divorce. My husband is crushed and I feel guilty. He's the one who began this whole thing by having numerous affairs and broke me down to nothing until I finally got back to my true self. We've tried councilors but we cant get rid of ill feelings toward each other. I can't stand him. He plays games and is very controlling. How do I stop him from constantly hurting me? Threating me, following me, accusing me of things that are not true?
28 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoMisrepresentation, should I worry about it?
I think I may have misrepresented myself to someone and I feel kind of bad. It wasn't anything too bad, but I want this person to like me for who I am, not for what I thought they wanted to hear at the time.
Should I actively seek this person out to make myself genuine or little by little reveal the true me?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhy Does My Mother-in-Law Do This?
Normally I try to take care of my two children (ages 5 & 7) without help from anyone. I never bother my mom or my mother-in-law, but back in Nov. I had over booked myself and couldn't get my son to his first real birthday party that he was invited to. I allowed plenty of advance notice (about a week) and asked my mother-in-law if she could pick my son up from his swim class (that's only approx. 1 mile from her house) and take him to the birthday party at McDonalds (that's probably approx. 5 miles from her house). She told me that her car doesn't run that good and that she didn't want to get stuck with him in her car (even though it's now the end of January and no, her car hasn't broken down). I told her I understood, but I knew that she was just making excuses.
Anyway, last night I learned that she picks up (in her car) my niece and 2 nephews from school every Tues. and Thursday. I want to ask her why she'll do it for her daughter, but not me. Do I have a right to be hurt?
20 AnswersFamily1 decade agoIs there anyone else out there with Neurofibromatosis?
If so, have you ever tried holistic medicine or alternative medicine? Do you think accupuncture or accupressure will eliminate the bumps associated with Neurofibromatosis?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions1 decade agoDoes my friend have multiple personalities?
One day my friend will be all about being a great mom and wife and will try really hard to be a nice person, but the next day I'll be talking to a whole different person. She'll talk about going out to bars and kind of laugh at how drunk she got and about how much she hates her husband and wishes she could get away from him and just take one of her kids with her(she has 3). Then a few days later it's back to being super wonderful mom and a great wife again.
Why does she do this? I seriously can't keep up with which person that I'm going to be talking to. It's not like she names herself different names or anything so obvious, but it's driving me crazy. I really like her, but she makes it so hard to be friends with her because I never know from day to day which person or personality I'm going to be talking to. Should I finally say something to her even if it ruins our friendship? I don't know if it will ruin our friendship, but I never know what to expect with her.
13 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoDo you believe that meditation and visualization will make my disfiguring genetic disease go away?
I have a genetic condition that causes fleshy bumps all over my body (including my face). I only have them randomly on my body right now, but eventually they may or may not continue to cover my body. Do you think that if I practice meditation and visualization I can make this condition go away? Has anyone ever done this before? It's my only hope!
13 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoYahoo members...why are they so mean?
I posted a question and most people answered nicely and gave their opinion, but I had one person insult me. I reported the insult because it was really uncalled for. Then before the question expired and before I had a chance to choose a best answer a new member who just signed up today answered a really nasty answer. I think it's the same person who is harassing me under a new name. I reported them again, but geez...why are people so mean? I just asked a question about a celebrity, nothing serious.
26 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoDoes Fergie bother you too?
I recently watched Fergie's new video "Fergielicious" on MTV and couldn't believe my eyes. I was on the treadmill at the time so I really didn't hear the song, but what the heck was she wearing? A girl scout uniform that looks like something a stripper would wear? How could she be so stupid! Young girls are watching (well hopefully not watching) this and look up to her as a role model. How can we prevent these women from dressing and acting like strippers and give women in this world some dignity. How can someone respect a person who has to dress like that. I know sex sells...apparently she needs the money. I'm not a prude, honestly, but when you have a video with kids and a candyland type of background who do you think is going to watch it?
19 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoFood for 7 year old birthday party?
Hi. I am having a Karaoke birthday party for my 7 year old. It has to be on a school night between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Any ideas on what to serve for food and refreshments. I can always do pizza, but kind of wanted something different. I need something easy and fast as there isn't much time and the girls just need to be able to grab and go. The parents may also stay for the party so I kind of need something for them too. It's also dinnertime, so I guess I have to serve a "meal". Anyway, an early thanks to all those who answer.
19 AnswersEntertaining1 decade agoPlease help with my computer!?
My husband tried to open a message on myspace from some "Adult" website (I know, don't say anything about it. I'm already mad as it its) and now I have www.safeiepage.com as my home page and I can't search or do anything on the internet. Also, once in a while a local porno site pops up (I can't have my kids around to try and fix this). I tried to reset my homepage back to yahoo through my control panel, but nothing happened. I tried everything to get this thing off of my computer...I've run my MacAfee and even downloaded something from MicroSoft to find the problem, but it says nothing is infected and can't find any virus. I'm not the smartest peron when it comes to computers so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My son wrote (with an ink pen) on an awesome white shirt of mine and I'm so upset. I love this shirt. I think the shirt is made of cotton and polyester maybe a little lycra too. Any good suggestions on how to get the ink out?
7 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoAre all lesbians like this?
I went out to have a good time and to celebrate my sister-in-laws birthday. While at a straight bar a girl pinned me up against the bar while my sister-in-law was in another part of the bar. She was rubbing up against me telling me how much she wanted to kiss me and how hot I was. I was at first a little shocked and was trying to be nice, but she was very persistant. She said that she wouldn't leave me alone unless I kissed her. I was starting to get scared and was asking for help from other people in the bar that were next to me, but no one would help me. They were guys and were enjoying the scene. Finally my sister-in-law saw that I was in trouble and told the lesbian that I was "with" her. This lesbian was attractive, but I'm not attracted to women. She was also a lot bigger than me...that's why I was kind of scared of her. Do all lesbians act so dominant? I mean if this was a man acting this way someone in the bar would have probably punched him.
20 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoLLC or separate business?
I already have a small business and it's an S-Corp. My brother in law is interested in starting another aspect of our business. If he buys into the business should I change it to an LLC or should I turn it into a separate business?
3 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoHelp with a hangover!!!!!!?
I only go out maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Last night was my sister-in-laws birthday and I drank WAY too much. Can anyone help me? What can I eat or take to make this awful feeling go away. I've been drinking plenty of water and I still feel like crap. I've got two soccer games to go to and tons of work to get done today and I just can't function.
...yes I know I shouldn't have been out drinking, but it was a lot of fun.
