I just got done watching Akira and it was so visually beautiful. Everything was drawn with so much detail that even made the smallest of things so rich and vivid, and the cinematography was pretty top notch to. So are there any movies and/or animes (besides the Hayao Miyazaki movies) that are as rich and detailed as Akira is?

My samsung tv works fine in regular tv mode but when i plugged my wii it showed everything in black and white so i tried my dvd player that didn't work either so then i tryed my new 360 and that is even in balck and white is it because it needs a hdmi cable or is it just that the tv is broken
