Why does the tire keep getting flat?
There is no shred of evidence that the bicycle tire has picked up nails or any foreign body. I have changed the tube 3 times and 3 times, the tire is flat and will not hold air. Whats up???
5 AnswersCycling1 decade agoMy 8 year old orange tabby cat is having some problem...?
He suddenly has trouble walking...his right hind leg seems to go numb...almost like he's having a stroke. He has a spontaneous recovery from this but hides out for several hours after this happens. Please do not suggest I take him to the vet. I am interested in whether anyone else has observed this behavior in their own cat. Did this resolved or was this a symptom of an underlying problem? Any thoughts would be appreciated. The vet is not an option for us since we are able to feed ourselves and pay bills..nothing more. Thanks
5 AnswersCats1 decade agoCan you help with a homeowners insurance claim?
My house sustained damages when an underage, uninsured girl drove a vehicle through the brick wall of my garage. Fortunately, no one was injured.
My question is: how do I know that the insurance company and contractor are doing the"right thing" on my behalf? My desire is to have the house fixed so the tenants can be comfortable again. Anyone have any experience in this area? What can you share that may help me navigate through this financial nightmare??

2 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoAny way to get around age requirement for Pell Grants?
My daughter is 21 years old and in her second semester of college. She has been on her own since she was 17 (her choice, not mine). She applied for a Pell grant and was told that she was ineligible because she is not 23 years old. The FAFSA indicated she is excluded from the grant because her parents make too much money.....WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!
I am gladly paying her tuition right now but dont know how much longer I can afford to pay the high costs. Does anyone know how to "beat the system?" Her father does not contribute to her tuition and will not..he has no means.
We are not estranged from each other and there is no history of abuse. What to do??
5 AnswersFinancial Aid1 decade agoHow to STOP this waste of money in healthcare?
A saw a doctor order an emergency helicopter transport for a patient who was in stable condition rather than using a less expensive ambulance trip. I felt really incredulous at this exercise of poor stewardship of money and resources and stated my opinion of how wasteful this choice of transport was. He repsonded by noting how the US spends 1000x that cost on one bomb in Iraq which is merely justification for his own poor decision. I still feel outraged and would like to report this waste to everyone here. Maybe we can unite to put a stop to this waste of resources on a small level and work our way to the top. (I am an experienced RN, not a doctor.........BUT.........I know the difference between an emergency and a senseless waste of money due to an inflated ego)
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow can she legally marry him if he is an illegal alien?
She is a US citizen by birth. He claims to be from Bolivia with no visa or passport. He has been in the US for several years working "under the table". How can this be? Who do I call to turn him in to authorities?
9 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoI was not paid for the past 2 weeks. I am an RN working for a company called Intelistaf.?
There seems to be alot of trouble with their payroll dept so that pay statements are incorrect or not delivered. I work hard and with integrity and want only to be paid for the work I do. I dont want to have to call every payday to see if the payroll dept has messed up AGAIN! (I have 2 more weeks on this assignment and then I'm over this company)
Any thoughts? Thanks
4 AnswersHealth Care1 decade agoMy 6 year old cat recently developed a dull coat with little white specks on the fur. What could this be?
He is eating fine, not scratching at all...no fleas...stays inside.
I took him off of Iams cat food, his coat seems to be improving but the little white specks are still there. I dont bathe him...he is well equipped to do that on his own.
Any ideas?
6 AnswersCats1 decade agoI understand that receipts for cash contibutions to qualified charities will be required for tax year 2007?
I'm thinking about those contributions made on a weekly basis, for example, to churches which do not typically provide receipts. I do not get a receipt for the $10 a week contributed to another qualified charity since, historically, one has not been needed. Any thoughts on this???
7 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoThe company I worked for went bankrupt and disbanded. Who is responsible for end of year statements like W-2?
I have been refered to 3 different entities already and none appears "responsible" for ensuring former employees recieve the W-2 for tax filing.
Thanks
